Who we are Based on Charing Cross Road, Mobile Five was established in 2011 as the first “mobile 1st” agency. Very quickly we realised we were ahead of the curve in encouraging brands to recognise a new reality in consumer behaviour, the ever-increasing time people were spending on mobile devices, combined with increasing diversity of things they were doing on mobile. The company has grown quickly over the past 7 years to more than 50 people with an annual turnover of more than £6 million.

In early 2014 we sold a share of our business to Omnicom, giving us the strength and backing of a major advertising and media network. But we stayed true to our roots with a culture and atmosphere of a start-up, with all the energy and opportunity for talent that brings. We regularly throw people in at the deep end, but with the right amount of backup and mentorship to help people succeed.

We are a talented bunch of technical specialists, designers, creative technologists, relationship managers, and strategists; crucially all under one roof – ours!

Above all, we have produced some amazingly cool work for our clients who include tier-one brands like; BBC, Burt’s Bees, Canon, Celgene, Gatwick. Greggs, The Laughing Cow, Microsoft, Penhaligon’s, Pepsi, Renault, Stagecoach, and many more.

THE ROLE

Tasks & Responsibilities.

Mobile Five Media Ltd designs and produces Digital Out of Home ad units that run across a myriad of different display types, often employing third-parties to assist the production.

We are looking for someone who can conceptualise, design, and animate these ad units. You will be expected to deliver high-quality work on a multitude of projects. Our ideal candidate has digital or mobile experience, loves to work on ground-breaking digital advertising products and is excited to work with top brands.

WHAT WE NEED

Required Skills.

Essential

  •  Formal or informal design education
  •  Strong eye for layout, colour and typography
  •  Digital or mobile agency experience
  •  Expert knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, After Effects, etc.)
  •  Ability to accurately set, manage, and meet deadlines.
  •  Must be able to produce quality output under pressure
  •  Displays a propensity to communicate ideas and reasoning for decisions

Advantageous

  •  Experience in animation or video production
  •  Working knowledge of CSS, HTML5, JavaScript
  •  General knowledge of image formats and size/load optimization
  •  General knowledge of digital out of home
  •  Familiar animation features of HTML5
  •  Familiarity with design techniques required for compression parameters
  •  Familiarity with lean UX and/or experience/focus in usability and experience.
